You or a loved one injured or killed due to a Ford EcoSport or Ford Explorer vehicle disconnecting driveshaft?
We are currently handling a wrongful death related to these recalls.
The Ford Motor Company has recently issued a recall on Ford Explorer vehicles from 2020 through 2022 models where the driveshaft disconnects and a recall on certain Ford EcoSport vehicles from 2021 through 2022 models equipped with the 6F15 automatic transmission where both front half shafts may have disconnected from the transmission resulting in a loss of the drive power. Our lawsuit, which we were the first to file against Ford, involves a tragic accident caused by Ford’s defective transmission.

The facts are known.
The Ford Motor Company’s subsequent inspection concluded that stripped half shaft spines led to the half shafts disconnecting from the transmission. Between October 2024 and December 2024, the manufacturer analyzed warranty return parts with stripped splines. In the first instance, Ford concluded that the failed half shafts had not been fully inserted into the 6F15 transmission during assembly.
